    Very Cool Summer So Far

    It hasn't been very hot for us so far this summer. The hottest time for us was the last week in May. On May 31st we received our one and only 90 degree day. In contrast on May 1st we had a snowstorm.

    Most of our days had highs in only the upper seventies. However, just a few days ago we had our heat on with a high temp of only 69 and a low in the forties. Didn't even bother hooking up the air conditioner so far this year.

    Very strange summer this year. Our hottest weather this year was in May and Sep. May 1st snowstorm, but end of May 90 degree weather. Today we blew all Sept records out of the water. Will be interesting to see if we get snow at the end of Sep. Thursday high predicted to only be 58.

    The temp today has hit 95 degrees which broke the previous record for the day of 88 set in 1999. It also breaks the all time September monthly record of 93 set September 9, 2002

    Records for the Marquette National Weather Service Forecast Office date back to 1961.

    No, just a portable air conditioner for one room. However, we didn't bother to hook it up this year.

    In Iowa it's been bad for heat. We're still going to have a couple of 80 degree+ days next week from Wednesday thru Saturday. Then it will cool off.

    Record high temps expected today. Unheard of for this time of year. Yesterday I got bit by a mosquito. Normally they are long dead at this time of year.
