    Cut card placement in AC

Not that it really makes any difference, I usually cut the multideck around 1 deck from either end of the stack.

The other day I had a dealer in AC tell me that it needs to be 1.5 decks from the end.

Now instead of getting into an argument, I just moved it in a little. The CC rules say the card only has to be 10 cards in from either end. Has this rule changed or is this dealer in the wrong? Can a casino make up a rule like this on the fly?

If told that (usually 1 deck) I move it closer to the top or bottom as the case may be. If questioned further, I state that is 1 deck, equal to the width of schvantz. If queried further, I make reference to pencil dick - gets a chuckle.

Often a legislated thing which can vary by jurisdiction.

On your first shoe, it doesn’t since there’s no past observation. Observe more closely on subsequent shoes - it does make a difference

When they let you cut where you want, fine. Otherwise, it's never good to argue with them and make you noticeable about your cut placement. If you are tracking, it usually won't cross their little mind unless you give them a clue...like cut card placement argument.

Agree with GMan. Unless you are steering some cards, just put it where they want you to. A lot of dealers make up their own rules, but so what?
