    mimicking the dealer

What if a basic strategy player, played exactly how a dealer plays against us, what woild be the house edge? Never doubled, never split, hit 12-16 vs 2-6, etc, for a general s17 hame or h17 game

Nvm, forget it, cause players acts first, so if we bust dealer doesnt have to play anymore that round, where th edge would probably come from

Mimic the dealer: For my analysis of this strategy I assumed the player would always hit 16 or less and stand on17 or more, including a soft 17. The player never doubled or split, since the dealer is not allowed to do so. This "mimic the dealer" strategy results in a house edge of 5.48%.

BigJer, but when I mimic the dealer I hit soft 17. Please re-run your numbers.

I'm just kidding. I would never mimic the dealer. Plus, I only play S17 tables.

Mimic the dealer comes from the Ploppy Bible, verse 1 chapter 11, wherein it states thusly: CASINOS ALWAYS WIN OUR MONEY. SO THEREFORE, ALL WE HAVE TO DO IS MIMIC THE BLACKJACK DEALER AND VOILA! ... WE MUST WIN TOO. (chapter 2 says: NEVER TAKE THE DEALER BUST CARD).
