LOL. I don't ever remember having anywhere close to that much conversation, let alone go over to a food table and sit down to discuss it. Usually it's pretty one-way, and at the the BJ table, or a few feet away. Then again, I wasn't trying to record anything, and I didn't open up a debate. Maybe I'll try to be more conversational next time (probably not!). I did however once get met all the way over at the hotel elevators by the casino manager and very politely received the "no more Blackjack". We even shook hands.

That's weird - why on earth would you play three boxes in this situation? Unless he's hit table max I guess. From what I could tell the other player is sitting out, so it's not like he's having to compete for his share of the high cards.

    • He was trying to get backed off (for the footage, of course) --
    • 1) Bought in for $1,000 - started playing $5/hand.
    • 2) Spread to 3x200 once the TC hit +2 or so.
    • 3) Pretty sure 200 was table max.
    • But umm....isn't shooting video, or using a recorder at the table....illegal? lol

On my first back off it was discussed in front of a couple others at the table. When the games manager referred to me as an "advantage player", it drew the attention of the others at the table: "Advantage player? He's lost every hand!" And I had lost every hand...about 15 hands at that point and all minimum bets. I guess they saw me coming but were a little slow in the response department.

He might have gotten backed off there before, so he intentionally tried to get backed off again. The pit boss would be embarrassed if he saw that video because he doesn't make sense.

When I get backed off I don't argue it because I figure that I have already been proven to be an advantage player. They wouldn't back me off without indisputable evidence. I leave with my chips, and come back on the next shift to cash out.

Players get backed off without indisputable evidence. They try to make sure they're not backing off average players, but it does happen. Nevertheless, they're not going to change their mind, even if your plead your case. There's no point in arguing.

That pit boss should be embarrassed. It's not as much fun defeating Goliath if he's a bumbling fool.

I think it'd be great if that happened, and he got "flat betted", so he could only bet the same amount every hand he plays. Am I the only one thinking he could be a big-player, grab a few spotters, continue the game!

I thought it was taboo to use any video recording device inside a casino. Even a camera. Maybe this was all staged after the joint closed for business? As a matter of fact, I immediately recognized the pit boss from my long ago playing days. He goes by the moniker of "Rocky". Correct me if I am wrong though I know I am not.

Casinos don't like it, but now that cell phone cameras are everywhere, they'd have a helluva time trying to prevent it.
