Thanks for the kind words. Enjoy, my friend.

By the way, now may be the right time to let you all know that there is a Kindle edition of the new book!
https://www.amazon.com/Hi-Lo-Card-Co...%2C111&sr=8-18
And, while Amazon sells the hard copy for $39.99, Huntington Press has discounted it $10 to $29.99. So, you can now get the Kindle edition from Amazon and the hard copy from HP for the same price that Amazon charges for the hard copy alone. Good deal!

Take a look at Table D10 on p. 515 of BJA3. For that play, the 5 is clearly the most important card. But the 4 is next in importance, slightly more than the 6. So, maybe it was a trick question, because it would appear that the right answer is the 5 first and the 4 second. :-)
Don
Who wrote that book BJA3 by the way? Just took a look at p.515, Don. Yeah, 4 is slightly more important than the 6 however, it makes no difference with the 5 are as far as standing vs hitting. It seems that a 5v6 side count would help in making the proper decision on that important 16vT. A +2 or -2 difference of that 5v6 side count (either way) could justify a strategy deviation. Since it's almost equal with insurance for gain in SCORE, it's an interesting issue.
The Kindle version is great if you're mobile, you have Kindle on your phone and need a quick reference. When you click on the Table titles it brings up a list of links to all the other tables so it's really easy to navigate between the Tables.

Exactly, friend. Is that the reason that Dr. Humble´s count (0, 1, 1, 2, 2, 1, 1, 0, 0, -2) is a short of monster for handling the 16 v T hand?
For 6 decks and S17 I got:
16 v T Playing Correlation = 0.752862 (off-the-top)
16 v T Playing Correlation = 0.752151 (after removing the dealer´s up-card)
Who is going to beat this count? That´s a good question. Open to suggestions, if any.

You do have the procedure to extract correlations inside Professor Griffin´s book The Theory Of Blackjack. Get your copy, if you don´t still have it. Look at page 44 (6th Edition) for a briefly and detailed example. I will assume you have BJA3, too. With these books, and the aid of a wonderful tool like an Excel sheet, you will be able to do for yourself, many more things than you ever dreamed. Lots of enthusiasm added, isn´t a bad idea at all.

It's on page 177 where Griffin talks about multicard 16vT, so it could be 23452vT.
Here's the exact quote
"A slightly more complicated but effective rule in this case (multicard 16 v ten) would be to stand on all multiple cards of 16 which don't contain a six".
I forgot about that in Griffin book (thanks Aceside for reminding us) but I remember a Tarzan thread in which, if I recall well, he said basically that the 5v6 differential overrides the main count index for that specific hand.
Since you made that extraordinary Tarzan sim, Gronbog, you may add a comment on this.
