So...the craziness...I started counting cards in March of 2019.
I broke even (basically) in all (4) years that I played.
2019 -$340 is 612 hours of play
2020 +$170 in 99.5 hours of play
2021 -$870 in 77 hours of play
2022 -$100 in 136 hours of play
Crazy, I know! Yet, I still kept going back and going back. This is my year for 2023 so far:
+$3,745.00 in 52 hours of play.
When you are playing many hours just hoping to finally be in the black, it is a whole different feeling than going while up the amount I am up.
I realize it can go up or down tremendously in a fleeting moment. However, MAYBE I was more hesitant in my break even days to put that $100 bet out, not sure.
Now, it is easy...and even losing my first $100 bet in a session is not very painful.
Damn. 5th year. So crazy. I am still here. I am still standing. I'll update y'all in 3 months.
My casino also raised their $10 min tables to $15 min, so it forced me to go bigger in the high counts as well. That, I think, is another contributing factor. I simply was not betting big enough in the high counts the previous years. I also make much more money after switching careers, so one more factor that contributes to not hesitating when time to bet max, etc.
