    Looking for CV Data Buddies

    Hello all,

I am at times having some difficulty getting CV Data to do what I want it to, or having some difficulty knowing for sure the outcome it is displaying is stemming from what I think it is. Of course this is largely "operator error."

Regardless, I am wanting to form a network of like-minded individuals who believe in strength in numbers. I have lots of ideas largely unrelated to card counting that I wish to test (I currently spend roughly 12 hours per week with CV Data), but am getting stuck trying to test these ideas via simulation.

We can share ideas and complement each other's 'growth edges.'

To me, the most important qualities I am looking for in collaborators are integrity and availability of time.

If interested, please reply to this thread or email me.

What I am looking for is someone to talk with on the phone and/or via Zoom while we use CV Data and talk about Advantage Play strategies other than counting.

In my opinion, Blackjack still has 'secrets' that are awaiting discovery. I believe Mason Malmuth said something similar once.

    "The answers are out there."

So, if you're serious about working hard to learn how to make money playing Blackjack, let's talk!

If you don't mind me asking how is your cut game? Have you put the work in to where you can cut off a deck, 1.5, and 2 decks with near exact precision being off by an average of no more than 1 card?

    Sure you can ask!

No, I haven't worked on that aspect at all. And I assume you are referring to shuffletracking. Regarding shuffletracking in the broadest sense, I have found what I think is a useful practice, but I need to find a computer programmer whom I can trust to test out some hypotheses.

I am also working on Ace prediction and Effect of Removal (EOR) and other things.

**Finally, if I am not mistaken, through simming with CV Data, I have found a method or strategy that achieves a slight positive player E.V. (2 deck, s17) using no card counting whatsoever (and of course no progressions)! Very exciting!**

A next step for me is to find collaborators and/or computer programmers whom are available and whom have integrity.

Sounds like you're on the right track.

Don't get too caught up in the technical stuff and overlook the value of old-school manual training.
I don't want to blab too much on a public forum, but here is a great routine to add to your training.
Now keep in mind this for very opportunistic situations, but when they arise you will truly be owning the game.

Grab you about 6 decks of real casino cards. Number the fronts of the cards for the back 3 decks (1-156).
Then practice, practice, practice, cutting and properly knowing the exact amount of cards you cut.
You have to be able to master this with the cards half an arm's length away or so to apply this in a realistic casino environment.

Mastering this skill will open your game up to a whole new dimension. I will let you figure out how and when you can use this to your advantage. GL!

About Blackjack: The Forum

BJTF is an advantage player site based on the principles of comity. That is, civil and considerate behavior for the mutual benefit of all involved. The goal of advantage play is the legal extraction of funds from gaming establishments by gaining a mathematic advantage and developing the skills required to use that advantage. To maximize our success, it is important to understand that we are all on the same side. Personal conflicts simply get in the way of our goals.
