    Camping out in Las Vegas

Years ago (when I had time to visit Casinos) I remember a veteran on the woo forum telling me to "campout" at my local casinos if I want to preserve the relationship. And to "go for the throat" if I am in Las Vegas seeing as I could play two shoes, reveal my max bet, and move on to the next shop.

I'm a little over the cat and mouse game with the pits and surveillance. It would be considerably less EV, but does anyone think you can get away with a 6x spread on a shoe game on the Strip long-term? No wonging. No gimmicks. Just relaxing solo play at S17 CET/MGM tables... swipe in as a verified rewards player... +0.7% player edge... two-three hour session... not too crazy. The appeal of not having casino staff breathing down my neck far exceeds the appeal of a 2.5x profit with less variance.

But the question is... can it be done? Do these guys really sweat black action with this small of a spread? Anyone have any thoughts as to whether or not it would raise any flags on a busy night? What about on a quiet weekday afternoon? Would love to hear any input. Thanks!

I questioned the advice of moving on after showing the max bet, but it made sense for some of the casinos downtown Vegas Double Deck games. Hit and run and then come back and hit them again.

I definitely see merit in the approach. In fact, I think it's most advantageous. Certainly from a longevity perspective.
There are so many variables that dictate a pit/surveillance's tolerance. When there are a dozen casinos to the left and right, it's best to err on the side of caution.

But what if maximizing EV isn't the primary goal? Has anyone had any luck playing a moderately +EV game with friends and camping out for a few hours?
I haven't heard any horror stories of anyone getting heat in a Strip shoe game for spreading 100 - 500. But perhaps that's because no one is stupid enough (like me) to even consider doing it.

Any AP who's put in a few hundred hours of counting can attest that the mission is incredibly mentally exhausting. I'm sure we all dream of being able to sit at a table for hours on-end and never look over our shoulder or flinch when the phone rings... I'm curious if I can be confident I can play unhassled with a small enough spread.

Generally when a post goes unanswered after 250 views it means one of two things :
    1. The less experienced players have no commentary and the more experienced players want to keep their secrets to themselves
    2. It's a downright stupid question

Maybe what I'm asking is absurd?

Richard Munchkin and other well known APs have been backed off for spreading 1-2 in Vegas. The more you play and the more we'll known you become, the more difficult it becomes to get action down. I think after you take a couple hundred K out of casinos it becomes nearly impossible to find places to play. At least this has been my experience as well as that of other successful APs I know.
