Hi all,

I recently bought an Oculus (now Meta) Quest 2 to play some VR with friends and I installed Pokerstars VR where you can play a myriad of casino games including blackjack and roulette within a virtual casino floor.

I realised that the blackjack experience is great for practicing counting (perhaps even better due to the amount of distractions), it's as if you are sitting in a casino and there are people all around you talking, throwing chips / props around and taking photos of each other with selfie sticks.

I've had some success playing in game and counting cards but it's indistinguishable from luck at the moment. In any case, it's all play money so it's only good for practice, but it is great fun and now serves as my go to for some drills. Cards are dealt from a shoe and discarded to a fully visible discard tray allowing you to estimate the remaining decks, there are plenty of people to talk to or you can mute and keep to yourself.

Still need to confirm exactly the number of decks in play, but from my limited experience it looks like a 6 deck game with decent rules.

Just wanted to share this with you all, hopefully someone finds this useful. I've been away from the BJ AP scene for a while now but thinking about returning.

Kind Regards
