I played with a young AP. We never talked until recently. He used KO counting system. It is normally OK until I found out on occasional near end of the shoe, he made max bet on negative count! This is a very generous casino with penetration 5.75/6D by some dealers who hate to shuffle. Because KO is an unbalanced counting system (A and face card tag -1, card 2-7 tag +1), sometimes when less than one deck left, my balanced count has negative TC and this young guy had max bet out because his count is super positive!

Will recommending him change from KO to REKO save him from making such fatal mistake? As I know, IRC for REKO 6 decks is -20, right? In the end of 5.75D, if TC=0 in Zen counting system, what is his REKO count?

I don't know anything at all so grain of salt but. If this player kept a side count of 7s they could adjust their bet size after subtracting the amount of 7s counted from the running total for the true running total. Then also keep all the advantages of that system and add new deviations with the 7 count.

I am just learning to count and I'm considering something like this.

I know BJGenius007 was using the Zen count, which underestimates the value of the ace card, especially towards the end of a 6-deck shoe. I like Hi-Lo, for versatility and many other things.
