Why does BJ weather map have Tennessee colored?

If you look at blackjack weather map, the state of Tennessee is colored red as having H17 blackjack. Why is this? I'm pretty sure they don't have casinos with blackjack.......

I'm assuming it's (incorrectly) classifying games in West Memphis AR as TN?

It isn't colored red. It has no color since it has no casinos. Hover the mouse over the states to see the state and number.

Ahh, I see. You are looking at the old, small, static map on the forum and not the link under it that points to maps we update monthly. All of the data comes from CBJN. Older versions of CBJN showed Southland casino in Tennessee, I guess because it's in W. Memphis.

Yes Norm, the static map has that error on it. Or is it an error? Did Tennessee have BJ at one point?

As trb3 said, the casino is in West Memphis. About seven miles from downtown Memphis, but across the border. Presumably the reporter just marked it as Tennessee. "Games of chance" are against the Tennessee constitution -- apparently not counting the state lottery, charities, and online sports betting.

The border between TN and VA goes down Main Street in Bristol. Hard to think of Bristol as a part of VA. It is closer to the capitals of Georgia, N. Carolina, S. Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia, and Kentucky than the capital of Virginia.

Many capitals are dumpy little cities that are centrally located. Albany and Sacramento, for example.

Richmond VA has grown a bit since it's population of 3,761 in 1790. It's had its glorious and inglorious moments in history. Only been there once, to see a production of Hamlet in an impressive theater, for the time.
