    Buster Blackjack side bet

    I haven’t found the following pay table anywhere and am hoping someone knows the house edge.

    Dealer busts with:
    8+ - 200 to 1
    7 - 50 to 1
    6 - 12 to 1
    5 - 6 to 1
    4 - 2 to 1
    3 - 1 to 1

    The pay tables on Wizards of Odds are slightly different so I’m hoping someone can point me to any analysis of this pay table. Thanks

    Using the Dealer Probability numbers from the WoO's Buster Blackjack webpage at

    I get a house edge for the 8D game (you didn't specify) of 21.73% for S17 and 19.44% for H17... Ouch!

    The even money payout for a 3-card bust REALLY kills you: it increases the house edge by 17.30%.

    Was your sim 6D or 8D? I assume it was H17.
