So why and how does Analyst's system surpass Silver Fox? Gronbog did the sim so his input would be very valuable.
    I don't know the answer for this. But I know long ago there was a T3 or Tthree here who made a fortune on Spanish 21 using his created side count Am2c (A minus 2 count). Maybe 7m9c works on Blackjack like Am2c works on Spanish 21. I don't use Am2c, but I respect Tthree. So if he said Am2c works, I accept his words. Meanwhile, bjanalyst did not show his knowledge on Blackjack yet, so I am skeptical on his claim.

    Just out of curiosity, could someone tell me what bjanalyst is proposing? From what I understand he is saying that Hi-Lo plus a secondary count of 7-9 outperforms Hi-Lo and other systems, is that correct?
    If I am correct, which system does bjanalyst use for playing purposes and which one for betting purposes? Is it "Hi-Lo" to play and "Hi-Lo + 7-9" to bet? Or maybe "Hi-Lo + 7-9" to play and "Hi-Lo" to bet?
    Thanks in advance.

    Sincerely,
    Cac

    He is selling a book regarding this system. Actually he has many systems. Each one is covered by a book.

    I used to be able to find many of his books on Amazon. But now all of them are delisted. I can still find used book on Ebay, like this one:

    Also Google list bjanalyst's Hi-Lo with Plus/Minus side counts has 700 pages. Good luck to read the 700 pages to understand this system:

There is no way to "prevail" with a person like this, because his/her mind doesn't work like that of a normal person, so normal arguments or rejoinders simply don't work. And since he/she is either unwilling, or more likely, incapable, of changing (imagine that he/she makes a post with only four lines, like this one!), I see no other tactic for us as a group except to ignore him/her.

    In a nutshell - I use EBJ 2 ( 1/2), which is really easy for a Hi Lo player, with the same indexes, where the side count is instantly added to the running count. Let's say this gives an increase of 10%, I did not count exactly, but there is an increase and this is obvious. He uses a modified Silver Fox, where there is a separate side count, which, let's say, gives an increase of 11% from Hi Lo, but damnably messes up the head. So it turns out that he is fighting for 1% of my system, while not taking into account the parameters of speed and simplicity. He writes whole books of 700 pages about it. I put it in two words-

    I use modified Hi Lo + 7+ 9.

    7= + 0.5.
    9 = -0.5.
    It’s EBJ 2 count= RPC. Indexes = Hi Lo.

    How can he be so dumb and try to invent a system without considering the parameters of speed and simplicity? More than that, all these betting systems work and start to outperform one another only under ideal conditions without casino radar. It only bears fruit after a few years of play. A player using Hi Lo can win more in half a year than a player using Hi Opt 2, and this is normal, this is variance.

    Well, I certainly agree with you on speed and often emphasize this. Of course, it depends on the human. The various methodologies relate differently to different brains. I'm not trying to insult anyone. You can be great at one aspect of playing and poor at another, or vice-versa.

    I will chime in a little bit too. This is really a decades old debate and a lot of info has been published on this. In the old days of counting players advocated for more complicated counting systems but later on simpler counts became more accepted. There is really no general rule and it's a matter of person preference, but one viable option is to use level II count for pitch games (High opt II, with ace side count for the extra spice), and level I for shoe games. Also need to mention that human brains are better programmed for adding/subtracting 1 unit and some people erroneously think it's the same like adding/subtracting multiple units. And don't get me started on secondary counts!!

    George C. used to alternate: six months playing pitch games and six months playing shoes, changing his strategy twice a year.

    One of my dear friends, the great handicapper Don Gordon, had Asperger's. His writings were interminable, so you may very well be right.

    This Hi-Lo plus a secondary count of 7-9 is really old stuff. Here is an old post of mine:
