You will never fully understand ALL of the contents. Virtually no one does. It's a book to be read over and over and over again, with each rereading providing a little more understanding. I used to reread it cover to cover about once every year.

I quit my day job a very long time ago. But, let's just say that no one writes a blackjack book to make money.

I don't think Grosjean likes this. But, there's no law against it.

It’s the first edition not Exhibit CAA. I own both. The 2nd I wouldn’t sell. But if you still feel that it shouldn’t be done I won’t sell it here.

It's really up to you. There is no rule against selling a book. I would have a problem with selling CAA.

I am sure you will be disappointed. It is not a cup of tea for everybody. I owned more than 10 BJ books. For other books, I read each for at least five times. Some even more. This one I only read once.

    Why?

I sold mine on this site about 6 months ago and you never said anything.

Due to the fact you had to purchase directly from him and he refused folks.

And for the nth time, I read a fraction of the posts here and I really wish people would not pretend otherwise as if I am responsible for a quarter million posts..

I ordered the book today so it should arrive in about two weeks. I'll take it slow and do the best I can to understand it. It seems that Professor Griffin had a brilliant mind and made it into the Blackjack Hall of Fame. Kat also had a brilliant mind but she hasn't made it yet and Max doesn't seem too keen on the idea which is disappointing. He wrote to me about it a while back and briefly discussed it at the end of a Gambling with an Edge podcast when he was a guest some time ago. I know you have tried in the past but if you can put her name in front of the HOF Selection Committee again it would be appreciated. I think that she may have a better chance if the Hall was eventually split by gender.

Excellent choice! You will not regret it. "Extra Stuff (Gambling Ramblings)" is another excellent book by the author although not as good as TOB.

    Sincerely,
    Cac

The really detailed math is separated into appendices. The math in the main text is relatively easier.

Of course this applies to libraries, and of course they must follow copyright laws. The first sale doctrine allows libraries to lend books. But, this applies to everyone. You can lend a book to someone, as long as you don't make a copy. Libraries cannot acquire one book and loan it out to 10,000 people at one time. The Pirate Bay founders, who did what Archive.com is doing, loudly proclaimed they violated no law. Then they all went to prison. Yes, there is hypocrisy here. Those who violate copyright and yet complain about thieves are indeed hypocrites.

Communism didn't work. It was in all the papers.
