    Blackstone Group

    Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone is familiar with any operational/gaming changes that have come about after a takeover by the Blackstone Group? I understand they do have interests in the Las Vegas area.

This question arises after the following:

    https://www.9news.com.au/national/cr...6-2fb84e88434b

For context, Crown Casino has deteriorated drastically under James Packer, going from an entirely S17 shoe based casino, to predominantly CSMs. I've also been subject to betting restrictions and exclusion orders. With this deal, Packer will gain several billion dollars, however, his control and influence will no longer be there.

Does this group tend to implement positive gaming changes, or are they merely interested in real estate more than gaming?

Is it likely that any previous restrictions/bannings would carry over or would everyone have a clean slate?

There has been discussion about this takeover in the Australian forum, however, only myself and another member, Dave, have been really discussing it. Would be good to hear thoughts from those in the US.

Edit: I guess what I'm asking is, have people played at a casino that has been taken over by the group, if so, did conditions improve or deteriorate? Also, if they had previously been barred at a casino taken over by the group, did that still stand?

More of a real estate group. Buys properties and leases back operations to a company.

Edit: I guess what I'm asking is, have people played at a casino that has been taken over by the group Yes, if so, did conditions improve or deteriorate? Mostly stayed the same (Leased back operations to same operator) Also, if they had previously been barred at a casino taken over by the group, did that still stand? Almost certainly

Thank you. That's unfortunate, given this casino has terrible conditions.
