Thread: Is Blackjack the only Game that you are penalized for being good at?

I took up Hold'em 13-months ago. And finally got good enough to play in the casinos. And I figured hey I'm there anyway... I always enjoyed blackjack. Maybe now's a good time to return to the game. I think the system was FELT.

Can somebody verify whether this statement is true or false? If it it true, where are the "full pay" video poker games?
No offense, but you have a long road ahead of you in terms of AP education. Certain video poker games are close to break even or slightly positive, but the real returns come from bonus multipliers connected with solid comps and free play. Certain progressive games also have increased EV.

I agree with Norm that you need to quit making statements like, "Nobody in the world can beat video poker!" You pretend to know what you are talking about and start shooting from the hip. It does no one any good nor does it improve your sinking reputation.

You may have begun with REKO, which is Really Easy K-O. FELT = Fairly Easy Level Two, and is, more or less the Revere Point Count, with simplified indices.

I am abashed at your fame. Yes, I used the FELT count. It became obvious yesterday, once I began studying. And there was some thick book, either by you or Snyder, that someone on the site told me to read twice "before asking any more spurious questions." I read it twice.

Enjoy the book. Take your time. LOTS of advanced material, so go slowly. No rush.

Return to blackjack, go to the forum, get advice from the GOAT blackjack player.....This has been huge for me. I'll go at the book slowly. I plan to go through it twice, same as 9-years ago. When I bought it on Amazon, it had "already purchased 2-13-13." I almost wanted to wait until tomorrow to make it exactly 9-years since the 1st purchase but went ahead and ordered it today.

I've been cruising the table while on break from Holdem: no more dealer shuffles, at least here in the East: machine shuffles. Any point in learning to shuffle track? It was my favorite thing to do, hard work and all.

    Not without hand shuffles.

Do hand shuffles exist anywhere? Maybe Vegas... I started with the Shuffletracking Cookbook by Snyder. It's $50 now on Amazon. But I see there's another betting system in Norm's book. I learned on cards but Norm's software has a way to learn it.

Yes, but you'll have to scout.

A number of years ago, I was the BP for probably the world's best shuffle tracker at a high end place in Vegas. We played for 3 hours before backoff. They subsequently changed their shuffle because of our play.

I read Norm’s book chapter on shuffle tracking. It’s all about one-pass simple shuffles, which do not exist anywhere to my best knowledge. What does Snyder say?
