    Blackjack Tournaments

My main question is if a card counter that is extremely fliered and databased and watched in a certain area will be allowed to play a blackjack tournament. I'm playing in an area with many casinos and I have been backed off of the majority but NOT by the one hosting the tournament.

So the casino makes a lot more money with more buy ins but they probably want the cash prizes going to local gamblers that will just give it back to them. Also, I never play table games here for obvious reasons so how strange is it for someone to just walk in, hardly any play on their card, and be allowed to participate?

25,000$ cash prizes with 15,000$ going to winner. 100$ buy in and unlimited buy ins allowed. It must be much better to do this with team play amd split winnings.

Any tips greatly appreciated. Not doing this really for the EV but mostly for the novelty. Never been in one before.

They shouldn't care that you are a card counter, since counting is entirely useless in tournament play, but if they would be inclined to back you off from regular play, then they will probably ban you from the tournament.

To answer your other question, no it's not unusual for folks with little or no play history to show up at a tournament. Some players travel specifically for the purpose of playing them, if they believe the value is good.

They might back you off the tourney, happened to me in Vegas a few years ago. Also I had come in 1st and 3rd in two previous Bacc/BJ tourneys there, so that might've had an influence.

Make sure you change up your look at the tourney casino so surveillance doesn't ID you from any pics they have. That was my big mistake- I had an active flyer and showed up at the tourney looking exactly the same. Then, if you're registered under the same flyer name, they won't go to look it up and you'll be good to go for your tourney.

    Good luck!
