I was using Hi-Opt II, but decided I was making too many playing errors. So I have reverted back to red seven and I’m unsure if this is the right thing to do. If you’re getting 80% of the value of Hi-lo, with some deviations, and no division why don’t more people use R7? I’m playing a winning game with a 1-20 spread, I think. Conventional wisdom would say I am. Keep in mind I’ve been playing professional for eight years, in OSN and cannot play BJ anywhere except this one store which has really got me wondering.

This store that I know I got on their radar with the table games manager, and higher ups looking at my play. They have allowed me to continue playing. Keep in mind I also throw in negative EV games to bump up offers. Lucky for me a series of events transpired at the right time where I put in cover play during when they were evaluating me, and this was extremely -EV, and I paid dearly for it. I’m still up on them slightly. But now they let me count so obviously, and do not do anything about it. I just can’t believe they haven’t told me no more blackjack. Which makes me wonder if I am playing a winning game?

If I’m using a 1-20 spread and ramping appropriately, (I never lose the count) even without deviations I should be winning using R7, right? Is there something I’m missing that the casino is taking into account such as over betting my bankroll, or another aspect they’ve thought of to continue letting me play or are they just that stupid? In eight years of play I’ve never seen a casino behave this way and it has me baffled. I’m just wondering if I am missing something?
