I am curious about what you mean by using methods to define a strategy.
There is a basic strategy published in the Wizard of Odds and also switching strategy that is credited to Cindy Liu in WOO.
There are more requirements than that to simulate the game?
I'm wondering if the game is countable by some method.
Yes, and I've looked at Arnold's strategy. Thing is, they don't fit into a single method of describing all three. To determine the efficacy of a new strategy or to test counting methods, a generalized method of defining a strategy is needed.

I figure that would cost five figures and a few years. Some parts, like the included Excel-like spreadsheet system, would not be possible these days as underlying licenses aren't functional on Macs. The problem with running Windows applications on Macs is really one company's problem to solve -- Apple. Not the millions of Windows developers.

Hi Norm,
I couldn’t find a recent thread for CVBJ requests. It would be nice if after a hand, I could go back 1 or more hands and play it almost like a movie, and be able to check the earlier stats, like running count and shoe/discard stats. I’m practicing a complex count, and I feel like I am tending to make the same kind of error, but once the hand is gone it’s gone. I could improve faster if I could review what I specifically F’d up. Also, sometimes I or the dealer has a specific many-card hand I’d like to review.

You can show the last error hand and counts from Fil-Show Last Error.
History-Play Logs and History-Error Logs also provides some info.
Actually rewinding a few hands would be a problem due to the amount of info kept and the way the shoe is handled to support biases and ability to force hands with past errors.
