But we were talking about the main blackjack bet, not the push 22 side bet. Right? This discountgambling analysis shows push 22 happens 7.4% of the times, too rare for a player to profit from this side bet.

Correction to post #1. I thought the PA rules were set in stone, apparently not. Surrender is not allowed in the push 22 game, which raises the HE to .81%. A disaster for CC's. The reduced variance is probably not enough to make up for the increased house edge.
The thing is. When you remove the surrender option in blackjack, the variance will increase and thus the game will become a lot less countable.
