Counting cards doesn't "steer aces", sequencing does. If you're talking about a sequencing app, fine. If you're talking about an app to count cards, ridiculous.

I must disagree with you because card counting systems like Hi-OPT II with ASC side count are not prefect. No single human counter that I know counts more precise than a computer. You can program a card counting app to play prefect Blackjack (e.g. prefect insurance, playing, and betting).

Perhaps this was a long time ago, but a current answer would be, "I'm using voice over wifi since there's no cell service here."

Re using cellphones at the table, I've played several casinos that permit texts and short voice calls at the table, meaning 30 to 60 seconds or less. Apparently there are a few smart casino managers who've realized they lose more money chasing players away from the table to use their phone for a short time. The card counting app is paranoid fantasy on a casino's part.

You would really go thru all that shitty process to spare yourself from counting in your head? Now explain to me and others how you would count at the table using your phone app and go unnoticed for more than 5 minutes?

You can't go unnoticed and that's my point. Why would the casino pay attention to you counting cards with card counting apps? Because they are afraid that the phone apps are too smart. That was why the pit boss told me to step away from the table when I pull out my phone one time in Las Vegas when the dealer was shuffling. He's afraid that I might use the cell phone to shuffle track.

Somebody said that using phones at the Tables is banned due to deterring Cheating, but the guy said he's allowed to use a Blackjack Strategy Card right out in the open.... Wouldn't the Blackjack Strategy Card be considered an Advantage by the Dealers? :/

A basic strategy card will not give you an edge.

Although there is a method explained in the four pages starting with Do it yourself charts at: https://qfit.com/book/ModernBlackjackPage74.htm

Going nowhere. First you said "The casinos are afraid that people might run card counting apps in their cell phone" to which I replied it was ridiculous. Now you're back with a shuffle tracking argument which is the exact reason I pointed out to you: "A cell phone can be used as a camera device to spot the dealer hole card or to track a shuffle. Nothing to do with counting apps." in post #6

A shuffle tracking app, a sequencing app or any "advance technique" app could be dangerous to the casino, not a "counting app".

I’ve never heard about any shuffle tracking or sequencing apps. I believe these skills are too complicated for a computer to handle. Most Advanced APs can hardly do it, not to mention smartphones.

    Wrong, as usual.
