You can't go unnoticed and that's my point. Why would the casino pay attention to you counting cards with card counting apps? Because they are afraid that the phone apps are too smart. That was why the pit boss told me to step away from the table when I pull out my phone one time in Las Vegas when the dealer was shuffling. He's afraid that I might use the cell phone to shuffle track.

Somebody said that using phones at the Tables is banned due to deterring Cheating, but the guy said he's allowed to use a Blackjack Strategy Card right out in the open.... Wouldn't the Blackjack Strategy Card be considered an Advantage by the Dealers? :/

Going nowhere. First you said "The casinos are afraid that people might run card counting apps in their cell phone" to which I replied it was ridiculous. Now you're back with a shuffle tracking argument which is the exact reason I pointed out to you: "A cell phone can be used as a camera device to spot the dealer hole card or to track a shuffle. Nothing to do with counting apps." in post #6

A shuffle tracking app, a sequencing app or any "advance technique" app could be dangerous to the casino, not a "counting app".

I’ve never heard about any shuffle tracking or sequencing apps. I believe these skills are too complicated for a computer to handle. Most Advanced APs can hardly do it, not to mention smartphones.

    Wrong, as usual.

This is weird. I sense a little political correctness here. You guys keep talking about something that are beyond the reach of most APs’ abilities. I just don’t believe many of you are supermen. Again, I’ve never heard of any shuffle tracking or sequencing apps, and I believe these skills are too complicated for a computer to handle. What have I said wrong?

As for shuffle tracking and ace sequencing, these skills are just like dating, love, and marriage these social skills. There are no mathematically formulas to strictly describe them, and sometimes they can go terribly wrong. That is why it is almost impossible for a computer to handle.

Really!! I am going to tell that to the pit boss that running card counting apps in my cell phone is not dangerous to the casinos and see what these a$$#oles tell me. Not sure why not?

Is this a joke? What I'm trying to say is very simple.

1- Although it is a child play to operate a counting app at the table, it's almost impossible to input every card of each hand for every rounds in the shoe WITHOUT BEING NOTICED.

2- Even if you could do that (and it's a GIANT "IF") it would be ridiculous to go thru all this shit to get the count on the cards! If you need an app "TO ASSIST YOU IN COUNTING CARDS", you're simply not make for any advantage play. Counting card is so easy, no serious player needs an app to count cards. So, yes, the casino do not have to fear any player using an app to count cards.

3- If you are using your cell phone to register or visualize the cards and use it in a tracking or sequencing app, that is a different story and casinos should be on their guards for it. THAT IS the reason why they won't let you use a phone at the table, NOT because they're afraid of a COUNTING APP.

Casinos should not fear a counting app more than the NASA should fear a 3 yo child standing on the lunch pad of a rocket with a calculator in hand!
    Do you understand?

Ok, well if the casino is so sure that counting apps are not effective and they don't fear counting apps than I challenge them to 1) post a sign saying using card counting app is welcome. 2) pick a very slow dealer so that the person using the card counting app is able to put in every card dealt and get a final count. Then allow them to vary their bet with the count. All legality aside.

If doing that doesn't work than I believe them.

What G man is trying to tell you, as an example

Boris the heavily tattooed Russian is playing with an earpiece. His cell is on the table. Boris may or may not be counting, likely not. Meanwhile, his phone is recording the shuffle (or tracking ace location) live streaming to the comrades in Leningrad.

Instantaneous computer reconstruction then alerts him to upcoming ace or aces. Boris bets big. A local casino some years back got taken for about 150k on something similar to this - and it could have been much more.

Oh, and he’s right - if you need an app to keep the count, who cares. Now, if the FBM ASC Advanced was part of the gambit - watch out

I would direct all readers to "The Ultimate Edge" by Mark Billings.
