What is it about my post you found strange?

That as a 4 year forum member it took me so long to figure out that i was being cheated?

Or that you found something else strange about my post, like perhaps im not giving an accurate account, or possibly my post is a little suspicious and perhaps even dishonest?

thank you for my reply to my post.

Gramazeka - JackVegas is not a new player. I met him at a BJ21 Green Chip party more than 10 years ago.

Do you trust San Jose large casinos? And have you ever experienced a situation where you walked away from gambling due to cheating concerns?
Hi Jack, thanks for the kind words.
What Im saying is that, contrary to popular belief in many developed parts of the world, cheating in South America is not at all something common.
Over the years I have read and heard many reports of cheating made by people who apparently cant take a loss (not saying is your case) in places where I know for a fact cheating does not happen (there's an example in this very same thread).

In regards specifically to Costa Rica, cant really give you an honest answer since it is not a country Ive played much. And yes, I have been in situations where I walked away due to cheating concerns. Never had a chance to confirm 100% any of them, but if the red flags are there I do think it's always best not to risk it. What I never do is assume Im being cheated just because Im losing. Ive seen many times players walk away from great honest games because they wrongly assumed they were being cheated.

Sounds like you've done your fair and honest assesement of that game regardless of the specific results, which I think is the right way to deal with the subject. Hope you can get your money back soon!

And FWIW, I know a dealer who is an expert card mechanic. He was offered a job in a Dominican Republic casino to deal seconds, etc. Instead of the usual salary, he was offered 10% of his table's profits. He turned down the job.

i think when you suffer a huge loss if cheating enters your mind will you will drive yourself crazy if you dont stop. Better to take the loss and win it back somewhere else and try to re evaluate if you really got cheated.

99 percent of the time you didnt get cheated.

I have thought i got cheated alot. I don't know if it was true or not. The reality is when your a professional card counter is a shitty fulltime gig because the very likely hood you will get cheated is almost 100 percent if you play long enough. If those limits are high enough it can almost bankrupt you. If you did get cheated, your lucky it was 300 max. I am pretty sure when I was going threw my crisis when I was gambling like a square I got cheated at hollywood park in california card rooms. I think I was cheated more then once in a cali card room. You had bad results there too right?

With your experience, why didn't you do some elementary reconnaissance before loading money into an uncontrolled casino?

Good to hear from you buddy!

Yes, I did lose quite badly both times I played at Hollywood, and the 5 month losing streak at Hawaiian. What happened to you at Hollywood?

The dealers in Tamarindo basically molest each card with their fingers, and keep the shoe at a rigid angle each time, Its obvious once the awareness is there.
Did they do this in Aruba? or it was a small card loaded shoe?

Anyways, dont be a stranger, and message me anytime. Good luck out there : )

I definitely should have. I mean i kind of did, I just didn't know the marked card move where the dealer feels the card for bumps before dealing seconds. I did check for fanning the cards face up before each session, and i checked for the angle of the shoe for a prismed shoe, and the younger dealer passed that test.

I simply didnt know about that way of dealing seconds, that's all. You can say that i should have known, and maybe you're right: live and learn.
Im a stronger player now because of it, and i do believe im lucky the loss could have been much worse.

Good luck out there, and thank you for your thoughtful post.

True enough. I’ve also played side by side with him a couple of times. Modestly raises from 1x25 to 2x200 or 300 (can’t quite recall) at +1.

    @JackVegas
If you recall our breakfast 5 or 6 years ago, that conversation and theories discussed (if you recall) led to the regaled FBM ASC Advanced. Some underlying theories developed from there which I didn’t understand at the time, and are now the framework of a fearsome betting system.

Freightman - nice to know you're so willing to share your balls.
P.S. No need for a rerun of that SNL video.

The acronym had not yet been conceived (pun not intended). Trust you enjoyed the video in question. The only one that I believe can Exceed the entertainment value of Schweddy balls, is Betty White and her dusty muffin,
