    Enjoyed the comments, particularly:

Id [sic] be worried about said player being bank rolled by "richer" players. He may be just practising at your joint and running his big game at others. Shady is shady.
    Being good is "shady"?

I was recently backed off betting $1 on Lucky Ladys. Playing $3 on the BJ hand and $1 on the LL side bet, I had a nice little run and turned a $60 buy-in into almost $200. The breaking point was when I hit two 19-1 matchs in about four hands. I didn't bet the sidebet the first couple of rounds of the new shoe aand when I went to place the dollar chip in the LL circle the PB almost knocked over the table in his rush to push it back. I was told that I could only bet it if I bet every hand from the beginning of the next new shoe. He also told the dealer I couldn't bet more than $5 a hand, even though I had been flat-betting $3 all along. Just to bust his balls I asked him for a comp for two to his only eatery.

So next time you go you'll keep that PB busy with your $1lucky lady bets while a partner blasts away max bets in the same pit.

This group is having a conference next week at the M. (Feb 27-29)

It's probably not be good time to play and made a real time case study for the conference.

I've heard of some AP's going to these conferences disguised as casino security personnel to gain "inside" perspective. Any merit in that?

Sure. You'd see the mentality they have. Go read the dealer/casino personnel forums sometime. It's eye opening.

They shouldn't backoff anybody. Casinos can simply gradually reduce penetration if they find a genuine threat. Cutting off more than 2 decks from a six deck shoe or cutting off more than 1 deck from a double deck game basically makes the game unplayable by any normal standards of advantage play.

Bigplayer, is that last line really necessary? Think about it.

About Blackjack: The Forum

BJTF is an advantage player site based on the principles of comity. That is, civil and considerate behavior for the mutual benefit of all involved. The goal of advantage play is the legal extraction of funds from gaming establishments by gaining a mathematic advantage and developing the skills required to use that advantage. To maximize our success, it is important to understand that we are all on the same side. Personal conflicts simply get in the way of our goals.
