    Thank You for Everything I've Learned Here

    Since I probably won't be a member here in the not too distant future, I wanted to say thank you to all the members I have learned so much from during the brief time I have been a member here. Freightman, BoSox, Norm, Don, Goatlife, Zeebabar, Stopgambling, G Man, Dog Hand, bjanalyst, drunk, Midwest Player, ShipTheCookies, Banker, Gronbog, 21forme, and anyone else I may have overlooked. All of you have made me a better player, for which I truely am grateful. IMO this is the best site for learning the game, or improving your game, and I certainly will continue to monitor the general forum for your valuable insights after Norm finally gives me the boot.

    Positive EV to you all...even if you don't like me! ;-)

    I don’t think Norm will give you a permanent boot. Far as I know, only one guy got under Norm’s skin.

    We got to learn BJTF tolerance levels like we would any casino and try to stay within it or get backed off.

    Actually, I never mentioned a political party in the post at issue...and if the post at issue was to be considered political, then so should have the post I was responding to...but, of course, it was not. Regardless, I do not believe I will be permitted to post here very much longer, so I wanted to say thanks to the members before that happens.

    It is confusing to me too so I try to tread carefully. It’s one thing to be discussing politics in terms of criticizing one party or another, discussing policies of administrations, wars, healthcare etc., but when politics affect the playing of Blackjack, it should be allowed.

    Is it not politics to criticize the mayor or governor in Nevada For their Covid related policies that affected the casinos? Why is it okay to provide links regarding Covid-19 to criticize the mayor of Las Vegas but not okay to provide links to defend her? Why is it okay to post links about Covid in various states to justify staying away from casinos but not provide links to justify going to the casinos?

    In any case, I hope no one is banned quickly without a chance to defend themselves. Norm should notify the poster that he intends to ban them, the length of the ban and at least one opportunity to explain himself/herself.

    Perhaps you are proposing to stretch the limits of inconsistent management. There is certainly merit to the concept so that boundaries may be reestablished. I have certainly noted waffling of certain policies.

    Shortly after Wave said goodbye because he thought he would be banned, Wave was suspended for putting a political link in his signature, copied to all of his posts, along with a line basically saying this is what I get for not deleting all of his posts as he had previously requested -- but is not a function of this software.

    Look, let us not play games. I'm tired of telling people for the 1,000th time to not make political posts. If you want to post on the effects of Covid on casino play; that is certainly on subject and OK. Posting conspiracy bullshit is not. And no one is banned without warning. In one case, about 50-60 warnings.

    As regards Covid and casino play, I find a point of view here that it’s dangerous, that casinos are not taking sufficient precautions, that social distancing and masks are critical but then if I find contradictory point of views that show contagiousness as exaggerated, that it’s less dangerous than pneumonia etc., and I share that info then my post suddenly becomes political.
