I can count down a deck in 20 seconds. I doubt I am qualified to do anything.

Obviously, he ain’t making 450/hr now. Or he wouldn’t be teaching and running a website.

I am a firm believer if you truly understood ROR and bank roll management, you would succeed with or without a course.

This definitely confirms that you are qualified to teach APs. However, you stressed too much on ROR and bank roll managements. I know little about these but I am doing fine. Of course I would like to read into them tonight.

Without at least understand the concept of ROR, anything is simply gambling.

My goodness that game must be 3% positive right off the top.

My strategy is mostly about developing a new strategy to convert a -3% game into +3%, and then I will gamble on this particular game. This approach has worked fine so far. If everything is from blackjack books, it is likely outdated. Game conditions are changing everyday.

Having a positive EV only matters if you're bankrolled to play in the game in the first place. Having a 3% edge doesn't mean every time you bet you're making 3%. You will go through swings and having BRM and knowing your RoR will tell you if you can handle those swings.

Knowing this not only tells you if you can handle the swings but will also tell you if you're over rolled and are wasting your time playing for less when you could be making more.

The martingale system works fine... Till it doesn't.

Reading your post I feel your IQ is not below average but definitely above mine, but mine is way above average. Last night I read half way into blackjack variance, standard deviation, risk, ROR, money management. Most of these are common sense as I have been using them unconsciously. I gambled about five years without knowing the existence of basic strategy and then three years as a half baked AP. I only seriously considered ROR this year because gambling conditions are great this year. You are a funny guy!
