The few pros who counseled against a few things that relative newbies were doing were quickly suppressed or politely banned. As examples, newbies (players who learned to count, had some success in local casinos) expressed that they were considering or had indeed quit their job/college, others were talking about loans/borrowing against equity to get a bankroll. When any suggestions that they delay that decision, consider a longer period of apprenticeship or cautioned against turning full time professional were expressed, the forum member was quietly “disappeared” (banned).

If Colin was to provide every post I made before I was banned (there are a few others here that were also banned), you would find me expressing my opinion that turning full time based upon a few months or a years success was a huge mistake. You simply cannot average $30 an hour playing part time BJ, quit their $15 an hour full time job by extrapolating your success or assume that if you can make $30 an hour playing at a $10 min. game, that it’s time to get a loan and play $25 tables at $75 an hour.

Words of caution were not tolerated.
