Until someone rubs/scratches their nose, then touches a chip.

Words cannot describe the scourge that awaits Las Vegas. Sad.

Still "urging" use instead of MANDATING IT into friggin' law! Anyone want to set an over/under until the lobotomized government officials wake up and smell the mounting disease in their hospitals? I'll set the opening line at seven days.

I am just curious have you ventured outside since the lock down in NY? Or will you wait for a vaccine that is unproven before you venture outside. Or will you wait for the one that is proven which could take 2 years.

Not to mention the urine, fecal matter, vaginal secretions, etc., on those chips from the retards not washing their hands. No telling what other unknown diseases or viruses are in those bodily fluids.

Anybody still in a hurry to play at a casino??

It is not a matter of either venturing out or remain locked in. It is a matter of controlling the dose of exposure. Of course, we have to go to the stores to buy groceries and that exposure carries some risks, same as going to the dentist or to work or to stroll in the park. However, going to a crowded place for fun like casino or movie theater or a birthday party increases the exposure dose dramatically with little benefit in return.
Although I agree that gloves will not protect much except if you keep changing them, one unintended benefit of gloves that people with gloves do not seem to touch their face as much.

I've wondered about the chip problem - even before COVID I figured that casino chips were about the dirtiest thing in the world. Seems that if everyone uses hand sanitizer upon sitting down or getting up from the table, risk would be minimal. Does make wonging a little more awkward though...

I venture outside every day with a mask and social distancing.

Although I haven't seen anything written on it, it seems that wearing a mask also decreases touching one's face.
When the recommendation to wear masks in puublic first came out, there was some concern about touching one's face to adjust the mask. I haven't seen anything on that in months.

If you live in a high rise and use the elevator is that like touching the buttons comparable to touching the chips in a casino. Or does a person wear gloves? Maybe it does not apply to you this situation.

Sounds like you are scared shitless just like my wife is. I probably would be too if I lived in the New York area. However, I'm considering going to the casino again when table games open up. It all depends if they have masks and good social distancing in place. I will probably wait until after Labor Day to do so.

I thought there might be a lot of new cases of covid in the U.P. right after the casinos opened, but it doesn't appear to be the case. They don't release any info on cases so hard to tell, but today no new cases at all of covid in the entire U.P.

I find it real hard to breathe with a mask on. I know I won't be able to sit for 5 or 6 hours at a BJ table with a mask on. Maybe they will let you wear a face shield instead.

Anyway, if I wait for a vaccine I will be too old to enjoy going to the casino. I don't get sick very often, and don't get a flu shot. The last time I was really sick was back in 2000 with the flu.
