All very interesting. The part about the temperature reading is wrong though. You aren't going to be stopped for a temperature above 98.7. That's silly. The practice all over the country, including all hospitals, is 38 degrees Celsius, which 100.4 Fahrenheit.

As for the 80% not wearing masks in the casinos, never forget: there are many more horses' asses in the world than there are horses.

Regarding temp checks, I expect it to be quickly abandoned in Vegas. Picture this - it's 110F outdoors. Your exterior heats up from being in the intolerable heat of Vegas summer. These scanners measure surface temp, not core temp, so everyone will be flagged as false positives.

A week ago I went to my doctor and my temperature was 97.2 F. Then just a couple of days ago I went to my dentist. The dentist won't let you come inside until they are ready for you. I didn't want to sit in the car so decided to walk around the parking lot. It was a pretty cold day for June and I'm guessing the temp was probably in the high fifties or low sixties at the time.

The lady took my temperature at the door and I was surprised at the reading of 94 something. By this time I was already inside the building for like a minute so I asked her to take it again as I couldn't believe it was that low. This time it was 95 something so I assume the cold air was the cause.

Living where you do, your temp will never get over 96!

94 is hypothermia, although some older people have temperatures that low.

    Skin temperature =/= core temperature.
