The thread on opinions on Blackjack Apprenticeship got me going. Also the feeling that with many NOT playing in casinos due to Covid and seeing more newbies or beginners here, I wanted to ask you guys suggestions for updating this thread/forum part:

Over the years, I have posted or linked a lot of internet info on card counting, etc in the hopes of helping new card counters. If you guys have any other suggestions, please let me know, and I will try to add them. Plus apparently many have more time to practice and work on their skills versus actually playing at moment it seems, so I thought it would be a good time to ask................LOL

I think a lot of people end up losers because no info is honestly provided when 5hey start learning to count cards. I think that anything on this topic should first start with address the following:

1. Who should start taking up card counting. Is it appropriate for a 21 year old kid with no money who goes to the casino for the first time, then reads/hears on BJA or YouTube that card counting is a great career choice?

2. What are BR requirements to start? Odds of success if you have $1k, $5k, $10k, $50k (assuming you can count and calculate TC correctly)?

3 What length of time (hours/years), what type of BJ Experience, what minimum BR before on3 should consider being a full time pros?
