    Bye bye Bally's

Hi, I trust you've heard that Caesars has sold its Bally's Atlantic City casino to Twin River Worldwide Holdings Inc.
Twin Rivers already owns casinos in Rhode Island, Biloxi, Delaware, and Colorado. I always loved Bally's on the Boardwalk, but was never fond of Twin River.

Caesars will retain the "Wild West Casino" portion of Bally's which is a fun section. The deal will close towards the end of 2020 it seems.

    Hope you're all well.
    Cheers,
    Ole

Bally's got worse and worse in the last year. Unplayable BJ games on the floor and only the HL remaining marginaly playable. This is one less Caesar's property and I'm happy with it! I don't think Twin River will be worse than Caesar's.

They can't ban you for card counting in AC

what if what you were banned for had nothing to do with card counting and took place in a poker room in Joliet IL? im saying with new owners, and it no longer being a part of harrahs, i would assume id be okay the minute they would no longer be using harrahs cards but a new system?

While I am no lawyer, I believe that any trespass issues could only be applied legally at a Harrah's owned property. Once a site is under new management that ability legally disappears.

Someone may simultaneously be on a national database, but how any umbrella organization or an individual site uses such information differs wildly. And in New Jersey, like Tomf23 said, they can't ban you specifically for card counting.

Harrah's will be running Bally's AC site at least through the end of the year, and new management will likely name it something other than Bally's when they start.

I would feel comfortable checking it out. But i could repeat the caveat above.

Bob Nersesian has addressed CET trespasses many time. Almost every casino CET "owns" is actually owned by separate holding companies. Therefore, an employee at Caesars Palace, for example, is not an employee of Ballys AC (forgetting the NJ Gaming no-backoff policy for a moment) and therefore cannot represent any action at Ballys AC.

That doesn't mean they won't have you arrested and you'll have to defend yourself, as a cop is unlikely to listen to you explain CET's corporate structure to him. It just means it won't stick.

This is common knowledge, but restricting a player to only one hand of table min produces the same "barring" results. I always laugh when I see players thinking AC as a "free counting country" ...

True, they can harass you, limit you, change the rules at the table on you, and probably some other nasty details,
but they can't throw you out or attempt to get you arrested in NJ for being a counter.

No, but they make up other "excuses" to get you barred.
