How do you hide your winning game?

Other than the obvious like ratholing...how do you hide your wins from your local casinos.
Please no comments from those who use player's cards.

Anyway, besides ratholing, be friendly with staff. make their life easier if you're jumping tables and they ask you how much you took with you (with some adjustment, of course), etc. A lot depends on the casino and its atmosphere. Some casinos are more low-key and friendlier than others. Sometimes there's nothing you can do.

The pit has detailed counts of tray chips (with special attention to blacks and bigger) and should your table be full when you leave without coloring up, the pit will ask the dealer to estimate your count. He will then update your player record.

Very hard to fool them with any large amounts. Remeber they view you as a cumulative sucker and have little concern over your win or loss in any session. Long term they will understand what "level" you play and track you accordingly.

If you are a new player to them and you win $1,000 (store dependent threshold) or more than more scrutiny will be applied.

All of these comments must be tempered with "it depends" as the table limit, store, etc are all influences. Red chips are noise at green table limits or above.

Be careful. or just become a consistent loser and they will gladlly welcome you.

I have played with players who keep no chips on the table. They play out of their pocket ever hand.

DOn't think I've ever seen that. What I have seen are players keeping their chips in their hand while they play, particularly Asian players.

Thanks Stealth, yes I am not talking about reds...only green or higher. Yes, it's those $1000+ session wins that concern me...other than ratholing carefully, it is tough to hide I guess.

21forme...yeah you probably have a good guess lol. It's just frustrating to see threads go off the rails immediately.

And Eye of the Eagle's post is interesting...something to think about I guess. I have seen a few players that only play out of their pocket, or like you say, keeping their chips in their hands. It does seem a little sketchy doing that...but something to think about.

Players like this provide a good ratholing opportunity, as the pit has no idea how many chips they have, so missing chips can easily be attributed to them.

Actually, the winning chip counts are a small part of the problem. It is betting and moving your bet with the count that is the NUMBER ONE tell!

It can be somewhat mitigated with a betting structure that requires either a reduction in theoretical EV or a bankroll sufficient to handle the variance. Teams most ofter overcome the variance with large bankrolls while individuals need to get creative with betting systems to obscure their play with out giving up too much EV.

As an individual, you will need to play with less EV (some spent on cover) or not play this store due to backoff/trespass. The math on these options is easy.
