Current status of Vegas for $25 AP player??

Coming from a poker background, wanting to start playing BJ using hilo and standard 18 deviations, etc....
Have been reading a lot and there are a lot of similarities to this and when online poker boomed, a lot of youngsters getting into the game and a small percentage succeeding.
I'm curious what the landscape is like out there in Vegas right now for the greenie player. I'm guessing if you play black chip and up there isn't nearly as much issue with finding decent to good games with good pen and rules, though I've heard much of Vegas only offers 6/5 bj, poor pen, CSM, bad rules, etc...for all red chip games.....how is game selection for $25 chip games?
    I hope this isn't a lame question.
    Thanks

You absolutely don't need to be a black chipper to get access to great games, even in Vegas where 6:5 proliferation has been rampant. At the $25 level you should find decent DD games, just watch out for those with nDAS (Flamingo, Bally's etc.) You'll get access to many deeply dealt H17 6 deck shoes, some with LS. MGM Grand even has $25 S17 6 deckers. There will be plenty to choose from.

Note that on Las Vegas double decks, short, anonymous sessions are generally the way to go.

So what would your suggestion be for a Vegas greenie looking for comps as well? Decent shoe games with good pen?

If you want the comps and some longevity, then yeah, probably the shoe games. As I said before, at the $25 level you will get a lot of H17 6 deckers with LS and RSA, even S17 at some joints. The Cosmo has an 8 decker dealt to less than a deck.

Shoe games ratholing green for $25/$50 base bets is ok in Las Vegas. A lot of counters here consider anything less than DD S17 75% bad... which is spoiled in the current landscape.

thank you for your input......do you think that MOST consider the shoe games much worse than the good DD options out there for greenies? What do you think the advantage lost is from the good DD games to the available good Shoe games currently. eg: .15, .25 advantage loss?? estimate is cool (obviously pen makes a huge difference in this number so just base it on average pen)
    Thanks AC

DD in Las Vegas is fine but more heat can be expected. Been playing DD there for years. 1-5 spread is tolerated at most places if not made too obvious ar DD games.

Too lazy to run it by CVCX, but on the top of my head I’d expect 30% more EV and half N0 DDvs6D. However, heat is like 10X. I’ve gotten away with 1-20X spreads green chipping shoes in Vegas with no heat.

I’ll take longevity over anything less than 2X EV any day.

I just got to Vegas- can’t find any decent games 3/2 payout on the strip less than $50 tables.
Any advice on where to play from a new and aspiring AP would be appreciated.
    Thanks team!
