Help interpreting heat at my local game

What would make you think they want you as a customer anymore? They're telling you that they don't! Do you win money from them or do you lose? Is it possible that you don't understand that, because you win, they don't find you desirable anymore?

And what would make you think that playing a different shift could possibly matter? Do you not understand that you are a poster boy in their surveillance room and that NO shift will permit you to play? Don't be stupid about this. You're going to get into trouble, and if you do, you will surely have deserved it.

By the time I saw your message it was already too late. I doubt many people on this forum know personally what it’s like to play at a casino for 16 years almost everyday and then all the sudden you’re not welcome anymore. That was pretty much my life and now it’s ruined because I saw holy rollers and googled “card counting”. I still have the option to go back and play like I used to but it’s not the same feeling as it was.

Yeah my vote is he is just a troll making all this up. Especially when he started by trying to copy Stealth's name etc. Either that or he is not the brightest bulb in the pack. He was given much advice here in different treads since he joined, from likes of Don and others no less.

Take a look what you wrote...Does it really comes as a surprise to you that a player betting $500/hand only on +2 counts and skipping neg counts for any significant period will be in trouble? Agree 100%. After being gone for a while, it seems that Wave has found a new way to come back and be annoying. Too bad. And, of course, you're 100% correct when you say, "It's easier if you don't post at all."

Wouldn't that be great if people decided to post about blackjack or not post at all? That's what Don's Domain was all about: all blackjack, all the time. And it was spectacular for a number of years. Just a community of the top blackjack players in the world, talking about what they knew best ... and nothing else!

Won't ever happen here, because people have no self-control and can't resist continually going off topic. And, part of that problem is that those people don't even acknowledge that the goal of this forum -- or any blackjack forum -- should be to discuss all aspects of the game and not what you had for breakfast. So many others feel that the boards should be used for personal soap operas. Nothing is going to change because I have posted this, but, every so often, I feel like I should give it the old college try.

Finally, I'd like to add one other observation that I think is meaningful. A great many posters here have demonized certain other posters to the extent that, no matter what the content of the post, the "rival" is incapable of judging the words on their merit but instead automatically condemns the post uniquely because it was written by so-and-so. To me, this is childish and demonstrates a total lack of objectivity. I actually believe that, if you reversed the names on the posts of two "rivals," most of us wouldn't be able to tell who had written what.

So, let's all try to "Keep calm and carry on."

We can ask Norm to create a folder that would work in the same manner as the Disadvantage Forum. It could be called Off Topic and we would alert Norm to any threads that are not AP related. Many of the posts I see here would be great with a black background and black font.

Doubt Norm has the time. Usually, if the poster is fiercely attacked as a troll, they learn.
