The first casino where I ever played blackjack was the Stardust back in 1978. The Stardust had a dark, muted atmosphere. I felt like I was playing in a scene from the Godfather. Since then I've always prefered that type of ambiance when I play and I seem to do better in that type of environment.

If you're too young to remember the Stardust, NYNY has a similar setting.

I know it's psychological and has nothing to do with the way the cards fall but all the same I just feel more like a winner in that milieu. Does anyone else have a preference for the lighting where you play or is it just me?
