The "What must stop" above line is meaningless without consistent enforcement and oversight. If the board did, in fact, have consistent enforcement and oversight the problem would go away by itself. Right now we have a huge archive of threads that says otherwise. A successful result can only happen when everyone is treated the same.

Concentrate on your own posts -- not those of others. That's what everyone should do.

If I remember correctly, Don's Domain's was a paid site. I never paid a membership to join it, but I had access to it because for awhile I was asked to host the Heartland page which I did for a period of time. It was true that Don ran a tight ship. One step out of line, and you or your post were gone. I do believe this was the down fall of Don's Domain. Nothing else was tolerated and eventually membership decreased. There has to be a balance between jokes, a jab here and there, and bj stuff.

AP.com really started out on the right track. They had a lot going for it. They started TrackJack which had great potential. It had the potential to be better than CBJN and at that time I was playing in quite a few midwest casinos. I updated many of the entries each time I made a BJ trip. Now when the greedy bastards there gave Titanium a screwing and refused to pay him what he was was due, he posted about it and that was the beginning of the end for that site. I had several private emails with Titanium and I was so upset by the dishonestly I quit hosting the Heartland page.

I do believe, a BJ forum has to have an occasional something besides blackjack. I do think it would be a good idea if Norm offered a social page like BJ21 has. I think members like to know something about the other members.

I agree that there must be some leeway. But, please don't mention TMan here. Believe me, there is more than one side to that sad story.

This was so many years ago, it is hard to remember all the details. However, can you tell what the other side of the story was. I will understand if you don't want to talk about it.

No. Let's not rehash the days of the fight club. It is long gone.

As there are more sides to your own stories. In fact, that applies to everyone's stories.

As G-d is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly. Hail to WKRP.

No hidden motive on my part just stating a fact.

It had both paid pages and a free page. I posted liberally to both. Ultimately, Viktor wasn't happy with that, because if you had access to me for free, why bother to pay a subscription fee? I guess that was my fault.

I hope the plea works, Don. Was a regular lurker some years back at the old sites when I was an active rec. player. Came back earlier this year and was surprised at the pettiness...even for an internet forum.

About Blackjack: The Forum

BJTF is an advantage player site based on the principles of comity. That is, civil and considerate behavior for the mutual benefit of all involved. The goal of advantage play is the legal extraction of funds from gaming establishments by gaining a mathematic advantage and developing the skills required to use that advantage. To maximize our success, it is important to understand that we are all on the same side. Personal conflicts simply get in the way of our goals.
