    Table Minimums on CBJN

Do any of you know how the table minimums on the CBJN newsletter are determined? Is is typically based on weekend night play? I ask because I visited a casino today that had lower table minimums than what is shown in the October 2019 version of the CBJN newsletter ($15 vs $25).

I'm now wondering if there are other inaccuracies regarding table minimums for other casinos.

I've been a CBJN reporter for many years. The listings are typically a compilation of the lowest mins and the highest maxes. Those numbers are tough to be accurate at any given time, as they change dynamically based on day, time of day, crowds, etc. For example, a table may be 5-500 on Tuesday at 6 AM and that same table may be 25-3000 on a Saturday night. As with everything in CBJN, it's just a guide.

I thought that might be the case. Just wanted to get some confirmation prior to traveling to casinos that were a bit farther away. Thanks for the info.

Definitely only use it as a guide...it's tough to always be totally accurate. If you are close enough to the casino, I definitely recommend going to check out conditions for yourself. Sometimes they can be very different...sometimes even much more favorable than you expect. Of course, sometimes the other way too.
