Cover, back stories and back offs...

So I wanna start this by saying that I use absolutely zero cover. Not zero cover like I split 10s and double A9, although maybe I should try those. Maybe it's the fact that I can only afford to play red chips but for some reason I can't get a back off... hell I've never even seen 1! I'm fractured as a man. Part of me thinks it's nice to "fly under the radar". Part of me thinks if I never get the tap I'll never be legit. I don't play pro. I'm part time and I don't just count which helps me blend in with the ploppies. Who around here has felt this way??.. am I crazy??..

    1) You should have someone audit your game. If you can’t find someone to do that, then you should at least use Norm’s software (Casino Verité) to audit yourself.

    2) What do you mean “... and I don’t just count which helps me blend in with the ploppies”?

    3) If you’re playing red chips, there’s a good chance your action is too small for the casino to care. That isn’t always the case. There are some casinos that sweat all action and there are some casinos that will take red chip play indefinitely. One size doesn’t fit all. Another possibility is maybe your spread is too weak, so it’s possible you aren’t a threat to this particular store.

    4) Don’t be in such a rush to start getting backed off. I understand where you’re coming from though... your first back off feels like a right of passage and a form of reassurance that you’re doing something right. But BOs are also a huge pain in the ass, so enjoy playing unmolested for as long as you can.

You didn't say if you are winning. That might matter, too.

Enjoy it while you can. When you get the tap you will look back fondly on these days.

Get yourself a back off, play a DD game, bet minimum to start shoe, go to 10 times minimum at TC2, Go to 20 times minimum on TC3, if the count returns to TC0, drop right down to minimum and Wong put at at TC-1. Repeat. You might win or lose a lot but you will get your desired outcome in short time.

I have most of norm's whole suite been building my collection for the past couple years!! Amazing stuff, all of it worth every penny!! And when I say I don't just count I mean that I use other advantage plays that you could say use counting as a backbone and when I do that my play resembles a ploppie more than a counter. But those plays aren't always viable. Also that is new territory for me I pretty much just started putting that in to my play. As per Don's question I am down... currently on my 2nd BR and also currently on a bit of road trip that I was have been inspired to write a report on thanx to see, so look out for that soonish. Also @ zee I'm sure I could get the tap that way but that would be cheating!
