When cashing out over $10000, one is required to form a format in order to receive cash.
Wouldn't that reveal my personal identity?
So, should I always cash out less than $10000?
I do not want to reveal my identity to casinos
thanks.

Yeah, trying to cash out or in for amounts just under the $10k threshold is called "smurfing" and is illegal. And each casino has its own requirements for cashing in amounts below that. It's not always a requirement to show ID (like a drivers license or passport). Sometimes they'll just ask for your players card to see that you were playing in a pit that is consistent with the amount your cashing out. For example, if you were cashing in $5,000 in chips and they saw that you were playing $100 tables, it might be fine. Whereas if you had been playing a $10 minimum table, it could raise a red flag. Every casino is different. The only number that is universal is the $10k one, and even that is based on a 24-hour clock... but one that is not publicized to players.
"There is no passion to be found playing small, in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living."
really depends where you play... CT casinos you can cash out for 10k on the nose they don't ask for players card or id.. if you cash out for 10,000.01 they ask for players card. Most casinos on the east are very easy to cash out. Casinos in vegas, not so much... as rwm said 2,500 or more they ask for id. Also, a lot of casinos just ask for you players card to see if you have any outstanding markers. They basically don't want to give you cash if you owe them the money first.
also remember if you play unrated and then show your id at the cage if the amount is over 10k y not ask for a check? Since CTR's are only required on cash transactions. If you don't want to show your id than this option is not feasible. BE CAREFUL WITH FAKES....REALLY NOT WORTH THE RISK , FROM FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE
