Also for UnckeChoo
Keep mentioning that you’re a newbie when giving out advice. It says 3 things.
1. I want to learn more by participating.
2. It tells the person you’re responding to be careful about accepting your comments at face value, to seek reinforcement.
3. An established poster can confirm, add to, or possibly amend your comments.
I said 3, but participating will help you season yourself - I guess that’s 4.
Playing blackjack is not always about preferences sometimes it is about having more concern for being welcomed back. Some advantages with shoe games, larger betting opportunities will last for a while longer especially latter in the shoe as the true count seems to stay the same because of the divisor "number of decks" is smaller for example: with three decks left and you have a running count of +9 you have a true count of +3 further into the shoe you have a running count of +6 with two decks left in the shoe, you are still at a true count of +3.
Plus remember the smart words that Freightman said below:

Resorts btw in Monticello NY is for me, also in CT, about the same distance as Foxwoods. So, that could be a 4th location to add to your list. Check it out.
There was a DD game at one of the upstate NY casinos closer to Canada a few years ago when I looked into it. I don't know if it still exists. Maybe it was Turning Stone?
