Anthony Curtis new book - bullish on AP Blackjack

being a suspicious person by nature; I surmise that part of the reason that he is saying this is to increase book sales

    from the article:

    Question from Interviewer:

"It’s my understanding that casino counter-measures have made that a tough game to beat these days. How has playing 21 in Sin City changed since you arrived?"

    answer from Curtis:

" I disagree about the game being more difficult to beat for skilled players.
We’re about to publish a book called The 21st Century Card Counter that brings home the point of how beatable the game still is."

I must say that I am an (optimistic) iconoclastic skeptic.
I agree completely with the suspicions expressed by 'drunk'
On the other hand Anthony Curtis' fine reputation precedes him.
I shall see what the earliest purchasers have to say before I buy.

I wonder if Don was given an early version of the book.

The book is written by Colin Jones of Blackjack Apprenticeship. Anthony Curtis is the publisher.

I found the "21st Century" part of the title kind of amusing

does that mean you can count on everything in the book to be accurate thru 2095?.....................

Read the thread on BJA. He wants to sell his forum and boot camps. He bans anyone who even suggests that the number of those who can not succeed as full time AP's might be 50% (its probably 90% or higher) and does not allow posts of anyone who failed or lost their BR.

I can’t wait to read the book. I wonder if he’s got a chapter in there about how he backed off Zee and me?

Books need conflict to sell, so this would be a great chapter. Can’t wait to get the book to see if I’m (really my handle) is in it.

If there’s a chapter named “The Douchebag and Zee”, then there’s a good chance.
