Zee, you can't play two hands of 100 each. You will be tossed so quick it'll make your head spin.
One hand of 100 will get a "table max" AND "cheques played" call.
But you do you. Why ask for advice if you're not going to take it? I have played BJ in Colorado, because I was there for other reasons. But to go there on a trip to make money is silly.
RCJH, it's not really just to make money. Ticket was $25 each way, RT ended up just $93. Car rental is $125. As a recreational player, just recovering the expenses would be fine. Expect total expenses to be about $700. It's some great scenery and about 20 hours of BJ to win $700+.
Zee, you really don't know how things are until you check it out for yourself. From CBJN the rules look pretty decent. The big unknown is just how sweaty they are and if they will flier to other casinos. They may think an old man is pretty harmless, then maybe not. If you have any decent variance it is possible to make a thousand, but could also lose a thousand.
I decided to just look at my 2018 three day blackjack trips to see how I did. I had good variance last year and not one was a loser. Most of these trips were close to 20 hours of blackjack play, and most were with a max bet of $100, maybe a few bets with max of $200. Here is a list of all my 2018 three day trip reports (two day trips are excluded). The figures are rounded to nearest hundred dollars from biggest win to smallest win.
1) $2,300
2) $1,500
3) $1,300
4) $1,200
5) $1,000
6) $800
7) $700 (Wendover single deck-Includes some green chip play)
8) $700
9) $400
10 $100
Average 3 day winning trip for 2018 $976. It just happens that most of the figures above were over 50 and got rounded up.
Zee, hope you go. I'm looking forward to reading about the good, the bad, and the ugly. By the way, I think you could get your expenses under $700. I noticed Lady Luck casino in Black Hawk was only $92 a night.

Zee, Lady Luck casino in Black Hawk is having a flash sale now thru May 6th for stays thru 7/31/19. Saturdays are not valid for the flash sale. $68 a night sounds pretty good to me, but then they add a resort fee, but still a pretty good deal. I hope you are making a weekday trip and avoiding the busy weekends, but Friday is included in the flash sale.

Please don't say when your exact travel dates are or where you will be staying until after your trip. You don't want them waiting to back you off.

I don't want everyone to think my 2018 three day blackjack trip results were the norm. I went back to look at my three day trip results for 2016 which was an ugly year for me. I only won $893 for the entire year. However, most of my losses in 2016 happened on 2 day trips.
Here are my 3 and 4 day trip results for 2016. Again listed from biggest win to biggest loss rounded to nearest 100.
1) $2,700 (Wendover single deck-Includes some green chip play a few bets maybe up to $150)
2) $2,100 (Laughlin 4 day trip 37 hours blackjack play)
3) $200
4) $100
5) $100
6) $-0-
7) ($800)
8) ($1,400) (Laughlin 4 day trip 32 hours blackjack play)
Average 3 or 4 day trip win for 2016 $370.
I wanted to include my Laughlin trips because everyone says it is a hell hole. I have made 4 trips there and won on 3 of the 4. I have yet to get a backoff in Laughlin, but my card is poison at one place. Really on any trip you really don't know what is going to happen.

Zee, if you are ever planning on going back to the Colorado casinos you are going do have to reduce expenses. It is pretty hard to increase revenue due to the $100 max bet. It appears your biggest expense is your hotel bill. At some point in the trip I would consider playing rated at a couple of places to see if they will send you room comps. I probably would start out my trip playing unrated because I wouldn't want to get kicked out right away, but maybe on second or third day try playing rated with a polite spread at just a couple of places to see if you can get any comps. If they are that sweaty it is a place you don't want to go back to anyway.
You have a great airfare price. It would be possible to reduce expenses even more by taking the casino shuttle bus instead of renting a car, but for first time I would probably rent a car.
