you remind me of a friend of mine who tried to be a poker pro but would quit playing after an hour or two if he doubled up
I tend to agree. You need to get this idea of stopping just because you're winning out of your mind. I know it's an emotion that we all have a tendency to feel but you really need to dismiss it. If you want to maximise your winnings you have to maximise your thought processes first.....

You are right but as I said in an earlier post, after 5+ years, I seem burnt out. Maybe it's age and fatigue, maybe something else. Its not preserving a win so much as it is just not feeling much enthusiasm for playing. I only played about 10 hours a month in January and February, a bit more in March only because I played about 15 hours over 3 days, and these days, I only play when on a trip about 1-2 times a month and these are short trips.

I understand I should not quit just because I am up but enthusiasm for playing abandons me after I have recovered my expenses.

In that case, with respect, asking for advice doesn't really make sense

Not long ago, you made your farewell post, but you never quit.
If you fell burned out, maybe you SHOULD take a break. Try volunteering somewhere - library, museum, etc.

You need a purpose for winning the money. Some purpose-doesnt matter what. That's why your incentive dries up after you recover your losses.

IMO the strip can be done while still using a 50-300 (or 1/2 at 25 min). Just play 2-3 DD HU and walk. Though I got pretty tired of walking by the 3rd-4th casino... I rather just sit in a chair and poker at that point =X

Did this last year for about 4-5 days during wsop.

Do you find it that poker players are sometimes the worst blackjack players. I played with 2 of them today. What came out of their mouths was the most stupid shit you ever heard of. Faces following aces. Never split anything that starts with the letter F. You would wonder what kind of poker players these 2 are.

I fulfiulled my purpose, quit playing but my original post was not about that. It was that I was sweeking advice on how to structure a route, given my stakes (playing $25 min. DD) and $10 6 deck games. In Vegas, I was finding some casinos that were difficult to play in the morning, others too crowded on evenings and weekends, etc.
