    Even Money

My casino allows you to take even money when you are dealt a BJ and the dealer has an ace showing and has not yet checked to see if they also have BJ. At what times should you accept that option? I take it whenever the RC is positive and let it ride whenever it is negative but am not really sure if that is a good strategy. Ties = a push

Always take even money at a True 3 and above assuming you're using HiLo on a 6D game. Be careful though, not all casinos will ask you if you want even money. They will only ask for insurance so it is your responsibility to speak up.

Sometimes you might have to scream it while doing the "give me" sign in a loud casino. This hand motion saved me once when an obnoxious dealer quickly flipped a blackjack in a party pit. Had I just said even money I wouldn't have been paid but since they saw the hand motion when reviewing the tape I was eventually paid even money on my blackjack.
