Well congratulations, for once you gave something other than a smart ass answer.

Mesquite is fastest growing city in Nevada. I know AceTen liked the place.

Gee, thanks. And back at ya - thanks for not creating a useless poll, telling us how much snow you shoveled today, or stirring up trouble involving banned forum miscreants.

Back on topic, St. George isn't far from both Bryce and Zion NPs, two of my favorites (which is how I happened across St George). IMO, Utah has the most stunning scenery of any state.

Going to St George again next month to look at houses. I'm tired of upstate NY winters! Hoping to move in late 2020.....

Did you know the St George airport is going to close for four months this summer starting at the end of May? I suppose you can always fly into Vegas.

By the way, it is actually a couple hundred dollars cheaper for me to fly into St George airport than Vegas. Anyway, I can't go anywhere until the dog dies. He will be 16 this summer.

Yes, saw the airport closing. Flying into LAS and driving up for a couple of days. This is about the 5th or 6th time going there looking for the neighborhoods that we would want to live in. Unfortunately, the house cost are REALLY sky rocketing. Hoping just a hair north of SLC would be a little better price.

How about Hurricane Utah. It is only 24 miles more up the road from St George, and cost of living is a little cheaper, but not by much.

Albee, move to the U.P. You can save $222,200 on housing alone. I did a comparison of Calumet MI (snow belt region in the U.P.) with St George, UT. Heck, with those savings you could afford to hire someone every hour of every day for snow shoveling.

Where do you stay when you go to St George, UT? I was looking at renting a resort condo in the Las Palmas resort. Do you know anything about this place.
