    Interesting Tidbit About CBJN

The March 2019 issue of CBJN marks 40 years of it being published. It started way back in 1979. The oldest issue I have of CBJN is from March 1999 or 20 years ago. Might be nice if Al Rogers could post a copy of that first issue of CBJN so we all could start watering at the mouth.

Have every issue right in front of me on my bookshelf. Just went back to the first one. Nostalgic!

If you send it to me I'd gladly scan it and post it so people can see it. Or you could ask your local Staples to do it. I'd gladly do it though Don, so let me know. I think it has great historical interest.

I was a compensated reporter for CBJN for 2 decades.

The great Blackjack periodicals are long defunct.

    Namely "The Blackjack Forum" edited

by the late BJ Pioneer "Bishop"Arnold Snyder,

the postal carrier from Bakersfield California.

I have many years of the Forum in my library.

"The Blackjack Review" was also very good.

These were hard copies ~ that never

    succeeded in the online world.

Don't forget the great "Casino & Sports," published by the GBC. I have all of those, too.

There are two different ones, CBJN and BJ Newsletter. They were published in alternating months, in the beginning. Then, they were bound in volumes, for the whole year. In any event, There are copyright laws, so I wouldn't presume to scan or release anything to the site unless we have permission from Wong or Al to do so.

Don is there any way you might convince them to release and/or post? I feel the value far exceeds nostalgia, the historical, communal, educational, and promotional benefits are tremendous. Imho.

All my CBJN are stored on my computer as pdf files. No physical stuff at all. It is all located in one folder called CBJN. At one time I had quite a few more of them, but my old computer was running out of storage room so I deleted about half of them. My new computer has 1 Terabyte of storage and still has almost 890 Gigabytes free space left so a lot of room to store.

Your computer was low on space so you deleted CBJN to the tune of 12MB per year. Nice.

About Blackjack: The Forum

BJTF is an advantage player site based on the principles of comity. That is, civil and considerate behavior for the mutual benefit of all involved. The goal of advantage play is the legal extraction of funds from gaming establishments by gaining a mathematic advantage and developing the skills required to use that advantage. To maximize our success, it is important to understand that we are all on the same side. Personal conflicts simply get in the way of our goals.
