My AP career is not over, I did not get burned out and despite OSN, can play anywhere. You need to read what I said.
Fact is that you have not played rated or with a card in decades. These days, outside Law Vegas, a majority of players play with a card. A players card instantly and significantly reduced heat for the red chip/low Green Chip player while drawing instant scrutiny when you dont.
It seems hard for you to believe and you are not speaking from personal experiense. I repeat, I he been 5 years of playing rated and I still come to Lax Vegas with comped rooms.
There is a learning curve to managing players cards and there is a lot between the two extremes. One is to never play rated and the other is to always play rated. In between us varying between playing rated and unrated, managing your accounts at the different chains, keeping a win/loss session ration, etc, etc. You don't have to always play rated or vice versa.
