UAPC is not found in Million Dollar Blackjack. Uston stuck his name on the count when it was released in the mid-80s to make it more salable. He did not use it himself. Norm characterizes it as 'far more complex than needed.' This is a bit of an understatement when one considers (a) the lack of any truly neutral cards, (b) the -3 tag on tens and (c) the ace side count without which its betting correlation is unacceptable.
"Wait a minute. How do you beat someone to death with their own skull? That doesn't seem physically possible." "That's what Jimmy kept screaming: 'This doesn't seem physically possible!'"
Norm states that its very high betting correlation led to few indices being generated. In true count mode with the full set of indices Norm generated in his physical book, it is quite powerful. Its insurance correlation does suffer somewhat from counting the nine, though.
