Anyone here live near Carson City, NV?

...looking for people to learn from and get together with for drills & practice. It gets boring doing it alone
I'm not ready for casino play, I'll be the first to admit it's a steep learning curve!

My average for deck countdown averages 40sec. (not that this is fast, cuz I know it's not, LOL, just for your 411)
Speed is picking up, but definitely still a ways to go....

I've learned BS charts and am still working toward keeping the count without error through 6 deck BJ simulation games.

Anyways, just looking for someone to practice with once in a while for encouragement...

I'm extremely disciplined and am teachable.
    Anyone?

I play down at the RENO, Sparks and Carson City area sometimes. I like there single deck blackjack games. I remember those times when I was milking Rail City on their single deck Blackjack game where back then they still offer 1 Deck H17 DOA but they changed the rules to that game. Then I start playing down at the Western Village and I was being aggressive there and got backed off. There are not a lot of six deck blackjacks in the Reno and Carson City area.

I am open to networking with serious APs only. One casino I want to play that I haven't play yet is Casino Fandango maybe next time when I play in the area I will go to that casino. You seem new to Blackjack.

Thanks for your input -- how long have you been playing casinos?

I have been playing blackjack for over 8 years not full time. Right at the time when Las Vegas deteriorate most of their Blackjack games. I am from the East Coast area but I travel due to work sometimes and figure I will play AP Blackjack while I travel.

Ever make it up to Reno? I get up there every couple of months or so. So we just might.

ETA: Seems like you can't get PMs.

Where do you play more often in Reno that has the best conditions? I don't like some of their single deck games in Reno especially some of the 6:5 Blackjack games.

Boomtown is good. They preferentially shuffle sometimes out of parlaying your bet but they're ok. H.E. is 0.14%.

I love the Silver Legacy! 6D and DD on any number of cards including after split! If you look at SCORE as I recall the SL is much better than Boomtown. The DD is good but I believe they monitor it more.

On the other side Harrah's is a sweat shop. I go bo'd from going 1 X $5 to 2 X $15. The Club CalNeva is pretty bad too. They were giving me the look and almost backed me off on a small spread also. Someone mentioned that they are almost as bad as El Cortez.

seems a lot of the 6 deck games in reno are now only 6-5 payouts which is weird when some of their other games with far less decks still pay 3-2. i dont like to play nothing but 6 deck however because the dealer will shuffle whenever instead of waiting for the cut card in the smaller games. plus i feel like they will be able to tell im counting with less decks.

wtf would they have worse rules for 6 decks? makes no sense. wheres a good 6 deck option in reno, and south of reno carson or tahoe?
