I always divide by half deck in shoe games.
I made a stupid division chart including all the half deck divisors, and figured there's not many to remember.
Now, I don't calculate anymore, I memorize the quotients cold.

I sugggest having someone test you every possible half deck division number. There're actually only a few that take more than half seconds to think about.
For example, RC 10 divide by 2.5 deck is 4, some combinations like this are just effortless. RC 17 divide by 3.5 is 4+, which takes time to think.
Write down only those ones that make you pause and think, and memorize those cold.

sorry, but he's, obviously playing a shoe game...so the correct answer is rounding the nearest whole number is sufficient...don't waste your time...which is what you are doing with is nonsense about your 2/3 level count making a difference on your TC calc...and your conversion to HI/LO equivalent...Not even sure what that means......again, level 1 also deal w/ fractions....discussion OVA!!!

    GOOD LUCK!!!

PS: Don would be SO proud of you for answering the OP question....but I was simply giving PRACTICAL advice...which doesn't make a shit's bit of difference!!!

REREAD my advice...based on the (plus 5), bet according to your 'situation'

There is a shortcut identified in Blackjack Life by Tilton but, sorry, I am not going to look it up.

Hope this helps. The book is a great read, informative and fun.
